The successful candidate will be responsible for
•
Liaising with electrical supervisor/site supervisor/manager to outline works set out to be done
•
As part of a 2 man team, part of a larger electrical maintenance, repair and installation team, undertaking electrical testing, maintenance, isolation and repair
•
Ensure all works carried out are to a high standard both in quality and electrical safety
•
Carry out all types of electrical / nonelectrical works as requested
•
Give accurate timely results from testing and inspections
•
Organise and prioritise your work out on site to ensure deadlines are met
•
Keep vehicle tidy and fully stocked to allow electrical tasks can be carried out
•
Complete all necessary documentation.
•
Be flexible regards working hours
•
Ensure all RAMS are read, understood and followed
•
Adhere to all company and client’s safety rules and policies
The successful candidate will have
•
A demonstratable knowledge of highways electrical equipment, to conduct maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics on existing systems, installing new electrical lighting systems, to inductry standards, and to maintain these systems and assets complying with codes and regulations. City & Guilds 2361, 2330 or equivalent
•
City & Guilds 2391, HEA 714 or equivalent
•
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Highway Electrical Systems – Street Lighting
•
HESA 210: Working in the vicinity of DNO / IDNO services
•
HESA 214: Safe Isolation
•
IPAF 1B
•
Manual Handling
•
Emergency First Aid at Work
•
HESA 202: Avoiding Dangers of Underground Services
•
Full, clean driving licence
•
Proven written and verbal communication skills
